Seacoast Worship Recap (01/30/10)

Even though I normally attend church on Saturday night, this worship re-cap is part of the Sunday Setlist Blog Carnival Extravaganza going on over at TheWorshipCommunity.com.  Check out the other worship service re-caps from this week by clicking here.

Call to Worship / Opening Set:

  1. You Are Good – Israel Houton
  2. Happy Day – Tim Hughes

Message:

This weekend, Pastor Shawn finished the series entitled “Why Aren’t You Dead Yet?” (inspired by a blog post by Michael Hyatt, CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing).  He spoke on living a lifestyle of worship.  If you’re interested, you can get the notes from YouVersion.com here.  Also, you can download the audio message from iTunes here or watch the video here (it may be Monday or Tuesday before it is available).

Tonight also marked the official end of our 21 days of fasting (Awaken) at Seacoast.  For me personally, it was probably the most fruitful extended fast I have ever participated in.  I hope to blog more on this in the coming days.

Closing Set:

  1. Take My Life – Chris Tomlin
  2. Dessert Song – Brooke Fraser
  3. Song of Hope – Martin Chalk <—NEW Album Available now!

Well, that’s how things went at Seacoast this weekend.  How was your worship service?

    • That is pretty much the model we follow every week. In fact, we actually call the portion at the end of the service the “Response Time”. During that time, we have communion and people can come forward for prayer, or just stay at their seats and worship. I really love the flow of it.
