Seacoast Worship Recap (05/30/09)

Even though I normally attend church on Saturday night, this worship re-cap is part of the Sunday Setlist Blog Carnival Extravaganza going on over at  Check out the other worship service re-caps from this week by clicking here.

Another great weekend at Seacoast!  Here’s how things went…..

Call to Worship / Opening Set:

  1. Everyone (Praises) – Glenn Packiam
  2. Power of the Cross – Martin Chalk

This weekend, Seacoast is starting a unique, month long series.  It’s called One Prayer, and I think it’s going to be incredible!  It is going to be a collaborative series including a ton of great teachers/pastors, around the theme of “God is…”. Today, Pastor Greg kicked of the series with a message titled “God Is Our Restorer”.  Great message about setting out of a spiritual “slump”.  If you’re interested, you can download the message from iTunes here (it may be Monday or Tuesday before it is available).

Closing Set:

  1. My Eyes are Dry – Keith GreenMan, I haven’t heard this one in over a decade!  Awesome song, and a great tie in to the message.
  2. Everlasting God – Glenn Packiam
  3. Awesome is the Lord Most High  – Chris Tomlin

Well, that’s how things went at Seacoast this weekend.  How was your weekend service?

  1. Kit, I think I only know the Keith Green and Chris Tomlin songs this week. I’ve got some research to do 🙂

The message series sounds great too.

  2. Yeah, Martin Chalk is our Worship Pastor. He has an album due out any time now. I had never heard of Glenn Pakiam either (although I do recognize several of his songs). They are both definitely worth checking out!
