Even though I attend church on Saturday night, this worship re-cap is part of the Sunday Setlist Blog Carnival Extravaganza going on over at FredMckinnon.com. Check out the other worship service re-caps from this week by clicking here (after Sunday afternoon).
Another great service this weekend at Seacoast. As an added bonus, my mom came for a visit this weekend, so she had an opportunity to visit Seacoast for the first time. It’s also the first time that we have been able to worship at church with my mom in close to a year. Very cool. Anyway, here’s the re-cap:
Call to worship/Opening set:
The Seacoast experiences pastor Shawn Wood finished up the “Switched” series. Tonight’s topic was “What’s in your closet?”. The title was a reference to a “Friends” episode where Chandler discovered that neat freak Monica had a secret closet where she hid all her junk. It was a great message. The point being, we all have a “closet” where we hide our junk, whether it is an addiction or an attitude, God wants you to let Him in to clean it out.
- Search Me, Know Me – Scott – I had never heard this song before, but I really like it. It’s a great worship song.
- Mighty To Save – Hillsong
- Let God Arise – Tomlin
I was really blessed and challenged through tonight’s service. Definitely got some things to meditate on tonight. God is good!
How was your weekend service?
