Sunday (er…Saturday) Setlists #31 – Worship Re-cap

This worship re-cap is part of the Sunday Setlist Blog Carnival Extravaganza going on over at FredMckinnon.com.  Check out the other worship service re-caps from this week by clicking here.

Great service again this weekend at Seacoast.  I case you haven’t noticed the trend, we have truly been blessed while attending sevices the Mt. Pleasant campus.  We are not 100% certain, but we have decided to “hang” here for a while and develop some relationships (and we are loving the Saturday night schedule).  Anyway, back to the set:

Call to worship/Opening set:

  1. All because of Jesus – Fee
  2. Let God Arise – Tomlin

Message:

The Mt. Pleasant campus pastor Josh Surratt started a new series this weekend titled “Switched“.  Tonight’s topic was “Repentance”.  It was a great message.  One of the best points of the message was that repentance for the sake of receiving forgiveness is not true repentance.

Closing set:

  1. Take My Life – Tomlin
  2. Lead Me to the Cross – Fraser (Hillsong United)
  3. Awesome is the Lord Most High – Tomlin

All really good songs tonight, and they flowed well together too.  Hope I get a chance to play with them one day.

Also found out tonight that my 8-year-old daughter wants to join the 3rd -5th grade praise band.  Very cool!  Topped the evening off with a Mud Pie Mojo from Cold Stone…it don’t get much better than that!

How was your weekend service?

  1. Hey Kit

Really like your blog man. Very cool format. Thanks for the review of Seacoast. I’m glad that you seem like you are connecting well here. I’d love to meet you on a Saturday night. Say hey next time you are there.

By the way, Martin’s song “Always” along with several other songs that he has rolled out recently will be on an album that he is releasing this spring. I can’t wait for it to come out so we can share some of these songs with others.

Look forward to connecting through twitter and the blog as well.

    Josh

  2. Glad you found a place that seems to be a good fit. Hope you get to play with them soon. I agree with Russ, Brook’s stuff is great.
